I happened to see an advertisement while watching YouTube last night, saying that it was an organization that would provide startup capital. When I looked out of curiosity, I discovered that it turned out to be a money lending company. It said it would support college students' entrepreneurial plans and provide "entrepreneurship support" and "entrepreneurship capital" of up to $80,000. However, it was actually a loan with an annual interest rate as high as 15%; 15%! The annual interest rate of many banks' private loans is much lower than his, so what's the extra? IQ tax?
A story seemed to appear in my mind: a college student who was not deeply involved in the world was dazzled by the brilliant word "entrepreneurship". After borrowing money, he was encouraged to start a business or something. After failure, he spent the next 10 years working to pay off the debt. Or ask family members for help. Is this story very similar to the news report about being persuaded to borrow money by Big Ears at the gambling table? But at least the people at the gambling table were willing to gamble, and now I'm hard-sold just watching YouTube.
To be honest, if your plan is really full of potential, it is not difficult to find investors. There are many rich people in Hong Kong. Even if you don’t want to find investors, you can find a lot of entrepreneurial support in Hong Kong. If you are technology-related, you can go to the Science Park Cyberport. If you are social entrepreneurship-related, you can apply to SIE. If you are art-related, you can also find related funding and shared work spaces. These are all Real money rather than borrowing. If you don’t even know this level of information, please collect more information first instead of borrowing money hastily. Starting a business cannot be started with just a sum of money. If you don’t catch up on the level of knowledge, you will only be treated as a fish in water.
If you need entrepreneurial support, whether it's legal or otherwise, you can ask me. I've been starting a business for almost 10 years, and although I haven't had any big achievements yet, at least I won't lie to you. If you just borrow money to start a business out of passion, you will lose your money and you will lose a lot, and you will be in debt and you will have a lot of trouble, so think twice.
By the way, the building behind me is really... Would it be better if it were red? More like a coiled dragon ascending to heaven? But it might look like a bloody... Forget it, there's something wrong with my sense of beauty.
